KUKBUK magazine

Today I would like to write something about one of my favourite magazines. Now after the Christmas holidays and still before the New Year’s Day most of people have time for a rest. What can they do? One of the solution is finding some new recipes and cook a delicious dish for family.
The magazine I want to recommend to you is entitled KUKBUK. It is published once every two months since January 2013. It resemble a real book, has almost 200 pages.

What’s inside?

Very interesting recipes, beautiful photos of various dishes and always some articles about cooking. KUKBUK is a real inspiration for me when I want to spend some time in my kitchen. When I’m reading this magazine, I know that cooking is a kind of special art.

How can you find KUKBUK?

You can buy a paper edition in every newsagent’s or use an electronic version for tablets which is interactive and cheaper.

The KUKBUK's website you will find here:

Gingerbread cookies

Do you know how to make gingerbread cookies?
Today I would like to write about one of my favourites recipes. You can do those cookies even a few days before Christmas. They will be delicious and puffy immediately after baking!

What do you need to make gingerbread cookies?

  • 1 kg of all-purpose flour
  • 8 eggs (we will need 8 yolks and 3 whites of egg)
  • 1 – 1,5 glass (250 ml) of sugar
  • 3 tablespoons of cocoa
  • 200 ml of sour cream 18%
  • 3 teaspoons of baking soda
  • 4 teaspoons of spice mix for gingerbread
  • 250g of  butter
  • 400g of honey

Let’s start cooking!
Step 1. Mix the flour and cocoa together in the big bowl.
Step 2. Make boiling honey with spice for gingerbread, remove from the heat and then add butter. Mix all together and wait until the mixture will be cold enough.
Step 3. Beat egg whites until the mixer will be leaving tracks in the egg whites. Add sugar and  then yolks. Be careful- do it slowly, add one spoon, mix all together and add a second spoon- until all ingredients will be mixed together.
Step 4. Mix the sour cream and baking soda together.
Step 5. Take the bowl with flour and cocoa. Add the mixture of eggs and sugar and mix all together. After that, add the mixture of honey, spice and butter. Mix all one more time. When the last ingredient is inside a bowl ( cream with baking soda), mix the dough.
Step 6. Cover the bowl and refrigerate 24 hours.

Step 7. Preheat oven to 180 degrees. Roll a dough out 4 mm thickness and cut out the shapes of cookies.

Step 8. Bake the cookies from 7 until 9 minutes.

Voila! The gingerbread cookies are ready!
