Our visit in Kazimierz Dolny

I spent two days with my husband in Kazimierz Dolny. It was the first anniversary of our wedding. We really like travelling but we don’t have enough time to do it regularly. Kazimierz Dolny is a small town in south-west of Poland, on the right bank of Vistula. This beautiful place has been the location of several films. There’s a lot of small galleries with art folk and restaurants where you can spend a time, eat something delicious and take a coffee. The famous symbol of Kazimierz is a cock. You can even buy bread cocks form in Sarzyński’s bakery.
I wanted to try traditional Jewish cuisine so we went to restaurant ‘U fryzjera’. For the first time in my life I ate gęsi pipek (it’s a stuffed goose neck) and dumplings with salad of carrots in sweet spicy sauce. It was a great experience for me. You can see pictures below :)

  1. Oh yeah, pierogi in Kazimierz is something worth recommending: it was teh first time in my life that I ate 'ruskie' which had not been boiled in water but deep-fried. The taste is unforgettable!
